The all-encompassing European ratings body PEGI, which now covers the UK also, has decided that Call of Duty: Ghosts is to be rated 16. Not since 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War has this happened.
Specifically it was the BBFC in the UK that rated World at War a 15, but the following year Modern Warfare 2 earned an 18. This flies in the face of promotional material for Ghosts being 18 rated.
Kinetic weapons in space and dogs taking down helicopters just doesn’t scare like it used to I guess. Call of Duty: Ghosts releases on PC, Xbox 360, PS3 November 5th. Xbox One and PS4 at launch.
Witness the filthy lie for yourself in this single player campaign trailer, rated 18 by PEGI.
