In an interview, Capcom producer Mike Jones stated that the studio began developing Dead Rising 3 for the Xbox 360, but had to shift over to the next-gen Xbox One because the game was too resource heavy for the last-gen system.
”In terms of building the game, we originally developed it on PC and everything we were doing was breaking the bank on 360,” he noted.
A rumor sprung up some time after that a version of Dead Rising 3 would be coming to Xbox 360. This rumor was just quashed by Major Nelson who tweeted, ”Reports from #eurogamer that Dead Rising 3 will launch on Xbox 360 are false. It’s an Xbox One exclusive – no plans for 360.”
Dead Rising 3 will be an Xbox One launch title on the 22nd November.
