In a Reddit AMA with developer Rocksteady the studio reveals how the finale of Batman: Arkham City was envisioned ”almost from the start,” and they looked at what would ”lead to that point.”
It’s the very ending that the team ”jump off from,” and we get into the new Batman: Arkham Knight, and we deal with the ”fallout from those events.” Also, what’s up with the new suit?
The new cape and cowl for Batman is born of the relationship and utility between the man and his machine; the Batmobile. ”We wanted to highlight the interaction between Batman and the Batmobile - you’ll see that the suit mirrors the design of the car in a lot of ways,” Rocksteady’s Gaz Deaves said.
”The new suit impacts gameplay as well, as it enhances some of Batman’s abilities, particularly in the way the Batman and the car work together.” Gameplay has been teased with the first lengthy gameplay of Arkham Knight in action, and that includes some Batmobile action too.
