Landmark ”opens the door for many more” outside the US to start sharing and selling their creations. They want everyone to capitalise on the ”powerful and flexible toolset.”
EverQuest: Landmark is the spin-off to EverQuest Next and focuses solely on creating a vast array of things in the MMO universe, such as huge structures and landscaping.
”Previously, participation in Player Studio required that creators be based in the United States and skilled at creating items in 3D modelling software,” said Sony Online. ”With Landmark, SOE opens the door for many more players around the world to participate as they can build directly within the game itself, using Landmark’s powerful and flexible toolset.”
Player Studio will expand first outside the US to Canada, France, Germany and the UK with more added over time. You can currently apply to join the EverQuest Landmark beta.
