Bad guy and series regular Quan Chi is the latest confirmed character for Mortal Kombat X, an evil sorcerer who relies on spells and trickery just as much as he does his fighting skills.
In this introductory trailer, the game’s executive producer Shaun Himmerick reveals that Quan Chi ”plays a major part in the MKX story”. I think it’s safe to assume he’s up to no good.
Like every character in MKX, Quan Chi’s got three unique specialisation options. His variations are; Warlock, Summoner, and Sorcerer.
Sorcerer Quan Chi casts spells that buff his attacks and weaken those of his enemy. The Warlock variation mixes things up with battlefield-controlling portals, while the Summoner relies on a demonic bat to deal his damage. Cheater. Oh, and his fatality involves a summoned dagger slowly scraping past his opponent’s teeth as it impales them through the mouth. It makes that ‘nails down a chalkboard’ sound, only a hundred times worse.
Mortal Kombat X is coming April 2015 for PC and consoles.
