Loading screens have been kicked to the curb, and we’ll face against ”three or four times as many” thugs on the streets. WB Games has released a lengthy announcement trailer.
A senior artist told Game Informer that some character models match the polygons used up for Arkham City’s ”whole environment”, as Rocksteady feast on next-gen tech.
“Obviously, you see a lot of games that are cross-gen, and they feel a bit reined in because of that,” said Rocksteady director Sefton Hill. “Because we were able to make that decision quite early, we were able to be more ambitious with the design and make a real, genuine next-gen game.” They’re using an updated version of their modified Unreal engine.
The title ‘Arkham Knight’ actually refers to an all-new villain created by comic-book writer Geoff Johns.
Batman: Arkham Knight releases on PC, Xbox One and PS4 October 14th.
