Everyone knows that the best part about a Galactic Civilizations game is designing your own particular style of plasma-powered death engine to unleash across an unsuspecting universe. Even if mine end up looking like dented buckets with laser guns strapped to the side.
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a demon when it comes to starship creation, you could be in with a chance of winning $1,000 in developer Stardock’s Galactic Civilizations III Ship Designer Contest.
Eight finalists will see their ships added to the final game, while the winner as picked by the community will net that sweet, sweet cash. You can submit your personal space-ride here, by creating or logging in to your Stardock account. The contest is open to everyone, so as long as you know someone with a copy of the game you can send in an entry.
Submissions are open until November 16, and the final winner will be announced on December 10. The rules are listed here. The competition closes just before the release of Beta 3, which will add ship-to-ship combat and the Yor faction to GalCiv III.
