Mirror’s Edge writer Rhianna Pratchett won’t be returning for the sequel to the free-running game. In a series of posts on twitter, Pratchett confirmed that she isn’t involved and gave her thoughts on the story direction of the original.
The Tomb Raider scriptwriter addressed the issues after being asked whether she’d be back for Mirror’s Edge 2.
It's really lovely that people care enough to ask whether I'm involved with Mirror's Edge 2, but I'm not & wasn't asked. (Cont'd)

Pratchett admitted that the original script wasn’t up to scratch, and gave her reasons as to why that was the case.
Let's face it ME1's story didn't review that great (for many reasons). So I consider myself a casualty of that development process. (cont'd)

@jeremymeyers No. The script got hacked up at the 11th hour due to a decision to remove all of Faith's level dialogue.

She went on to wish the new team the best of luck with their project.
Pratchett’s career certianly hasn’t been harmed by the problems with Mirror’s Edge’s story. She was praised for delivering a fresh approach to the Tomb Raider series last year, and has been involved with several projects including Bioshock Infinite, Risen, Prince of Persia and the Overlord series.
