A lot of people have played World of Warcraft. Most of them will have their own stories to tell, of battling dragons, mining for ore and throwing the monitor out of the window after being ganked by a troll shaman for the six thousandth time.
Looking For Group is Blizzard’s documentary on the WoW phenomenon, still the most-played MMORPG in the world ten years after its release, and it’s available to watch for free on Youtube.
I’ve embedded it above for your viewing pleasure. The documentary was first screened at Blizzcon over the weekend, but may have been slightly overshadowed by the gazillion new products that Blizzard announced at the fan event.
As you’d imagine the doc is something of a back-slapping fest for the game and its fans, but if you’ve got fond memories of the game then it might be worth a watch. There’s some interesting ancedotes about the development of the game, and its first years in the public eye.
Some nostalgic viewing before the game’s next expansion pack Warlords of Draenor is released on November 13.
