KING Art Games’ The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 adventure has received over $65,000 in pledges in less than 30 hours, leaving quite the trail ahead with 38 days to go before the campaign wraps up and cashes in.
The project itself was actually already funded by Nordic Games, but KING Art want this opportunity to put stuff in they’d always wanted too but couldn’t because of the risks.
It seems fans of the humorous adventure series want those risks taken, with over 1,200 backers throwing their coin purses at the screen. The studio team have big plans.
Their initial goal of $65k means they have the resources to work on ”dynamic camera movements” to make the game world better, without compromising system requirements. However they have loftier goals should the coins keep on flowing, such as side-quests and outfits for characters. If they do super well then there’s orchestras, behind-the-scenes vids, and even a Director’s Cut with greater animations, facial expressions, more camera angles…
