For anyone not jumping in early to Frontier Developments’ Elite: Dangerous then you’ll probably want to know how much it’ll cost when it finally releases? Well now the answer is available.
Frontier’s online store will sell Elite: Dangerous for £39.99 ($59.99 / €49.99), however there is a special pre-order digital pack for £5 cheaper; the ‘Mercenary Edition’.
If you slap that cash down early for a copy of Elite: Dangerous then you can enjoy a little pre-order discount and some digital extras. Backers will receive these too.
”We are hugely appreciative of everyone who has demonstrated their support for the game by backing it through the early development phase or pre-ordering the game prior to release. Without those people, Elite: Dangerous would not be at the stage it is today. The Mercenary Pack is our way of rewarding them before we release the game,” said David Braben.
Elite: Dangerous Mercenary Edition includes:
’¢ An additional Eagle fighter ship docked in a secondary location in-game
’¢ Exclusive pack of ship paint schemes
’¢ A ’˜Day One’ ship decal
’¢ A digital players guide
’¢ A digital concept art book
’¢ Plus additional in-game benefits and other digital goodies to be announced over the coming weeks.
The space sim is scheduled to release late this year and a TV spot ad has just been released by Frontier. Check out the studio’s online store for more on the Elite: Dangerous Mercenary Edition.
