Arcen Games has released the Betrayed Hope expansion for space grand strategy title The Last Federation, and has also updated the game to version 2.0.
The new expansion includes a lot of new goodies; 17 new ships, 2 new solar system backgrounds, 32 new abilities, 19 new achievements, 13 new music tracks and 5 new quests. It also adds two new modes that change the way you play.
Betrayal Mode amplifies the game’s 4X elements, focusing on combat and domination. You’ll gain the ability to command armadas and ground troops, and you’ll be able to use subterfuge and sneaky temporary alliances to destroy your opponents.
Invasion Mode sets you and your AI-controlled chums up against a galaxy-devouring threat. In this mode, betraying your friends is probably a bad idea. Though it might still be quite funny.
So that’s what you’’ get from the expansion, which is available for £4.49 right now. The free update 2.0 adds a bunch of other fixes and tweaks, the full list of which you can find here. Standout additions include an auto-resolve feature for battles, permadeath made optional, and a tonne of new decisions for combat and diplomacy.
