April Fools Day has come and gone, so we’ll just have to assume this is actually genuine. Rapper Snoop Dogg will feature in an upcoming voice pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, lending his unique vocal style to in-game announcements and events.
Activision have always liked celebrity endorsements, but with Ghosts they’ve really gone all out. Snoop Dogg will put his own spin on events in-game, leading to lines like ”rack up points by reaching the enemy portal, ya dig?”. Seriously. There’s a video if you don’t believe me.
The rapper isn’t the only famous voice to be appearing in Ghosts, with R. Lee Ermey, Full Metal Jacket’s foul-mouthed drill sergeant, also scheduled for his own voice pack. Both packs will cost you $2.99 and will hit Xbox 360 and Xbox One on April 22, with PC and other console versions to follow.
