The cel-shaded antics of Killer is Dead will be on desktops in a few months as Deep Silver announce a May 9th release for PC. A new Nightmare Mode difficulty will be included, along with a Theater Mode.
Killer is Dead stars executioner Mondo Zappa, who wields a Japanese sword and interchangeable weapons in his artificial arm, and who’s charged with the duty of taking out criminals.
It was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and written by Goichi ‘Suda 51’ Suda, the studio’s CEO. It was better received in Japan, as Metacritic averages it to 64 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
PC features:
· New difficulty mode called Nightmare Mode. In this mode, enemies can only be defeated using the following attacks: Adrenaline Burst, Dodge Burst, Headshots, so the gameplay requires far more skill and tactics. Players will not be able to use the Final Judgement finisher (QTE mode) to defeat enemies.
· Smooth Operator Pack for console will be included and unlocked after Episode 3.
· Theater Mode - Rewatch cutscenes and get extended background information on characters, helping to unravel the story after your 1st playthrough
Killer is Dead releases on PC May 9th for around 19.99 EUR/USD/GBP - physically and digitally.
