Card game adaptation Magic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers is out now on PC, bringing all the fun of losing spectacularly at competitive card games directly to your living room.
In Magic 2015 you’ll confront Garrok Wildspeaker, ”the deadliest hunter in the Magic Multiverse”, whose new favourite hobby is hunting down Planeswalkers like yourself.
That trailer wins the “Most Metal Soundtrack” award for 2014. Well done.
As for new features, this year you’ll find ”a full deck-building experience”, which should please fans who’ve spent years perfecting their deck strategies in the real world. I’ve never really got the appeal of these card game adaptations - if you’re a fan of Magic surely playing face-to-face with your opponent is half the fun? - but Magic 2015 looks like it’s got a bit more meat to its bones than previous versions.
You can grab Magic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers for £6.99 on Steam, or net a special edition for £14.99. The special edition comes with a soundtrack, desktop wallpapers, and an eBook as well as a few unique card sets.
