Deep Silver has announced top-down hack ‘n’ slash RPG series Sacred will be returning this summer with Sacred 3 for PC and console. It’s back to the world of Ancaria where a new evil threatens all.
That means it’s time to band heroes together with 4-player online drop-in/drop-out co-op play, with 2-player offline. It has been their focus to achieve a ”seamless online and offline co-op experience.”
We’re promised ”breathtaking visuals” with Sacred 3, which is certainly a step up from its predecessors. It releases on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer.
For centuries Ancaria was a land of peace, but the sacred bond between its people and the Seraphim - guardians of the legendary “Heart of Ancaria” - had been forgotten. And so Lord Zane - ruler of the Ashen Empire - allied himself with Demons, striving to open the gates to the underworld. Bound together by the chains of this evil empire, a resistance of Heroes was forged.
