With all the promising game coming out this year, I’d almost forgotten that Dennaton Games are taking us back to the murky criminal underworld of the 1980’s with Hotline Miami 2.
Here’s a couple of things to remind us; firstly the Kickstarter campaign for an action figure version of the original Hotline Miami’s protagonist “Jacket” has reached its funding goal. Secondly, an hour and a half of footage from the sequel has surfaced on Youtube.
Dennaton, publisher Devolver Digital and toy company ESC Toy banded together to create the pretty awesome 1/6 scale model of “Jacket”. He comes with a bunch of different animal masks based on collectables in the game, interchangeable clothing and three weapons - katana, shotgun and a baseball bat. No frying pan? Whatever.
There’s still 31 days left on the Kickstarter campaign, so good God, who knows how much it’ll end up making?
Meanwhile, Youtube user LennyReviews has posted a video showing off an hour and a half of the sequel, compromising the game’s first two acts. You don’t need me to tell you that mild spoilers lie within, but you can get a brief glimpse of what to expect when Hotline Miami 2 drops later this year.
