Nixxes handled the PC version of Thief, just like they did with Deus Ex and Hitman: Absolution - as well as many other PC titles. AMD’s Mantle will be patched in.
Next month support for Mantle will be added with a patch for the PC version, which will let those who it applies to take more advantage of their AMD hardware.
”Honestly, if you’re a PC gamer, you’re going to be in love” with the PC version, said Eidos Montreal’s Stephane Roy, as he praised Nixxes for being ”really, really good.” Nixxes Software is in the Netherlands and has worked on many high profile PC versions of games, and even contributed recently on the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for Xbox One and PS4.
”They are going to have a PC version, not a port,” Roy said. ”The PC version looks amazing also. The PC version is very solid.” Many of the usual suspects of PC configuration settings will be there, added Roy, with mantle support in March.
Thief releases on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4 February 25th in the US, 28th in EU.
