There are some limitations with this new power of the gods in our hands, such as only characters over level 50 can be recovered ”at any time,” while others are time sensitive.
If you’ve erased a character under level 10 or a Death Knight at 55 then they’re ”not eligible to be undeleted.” Something about the quantum field exploding and creating a terrifying alternative reality.
This new feature, making a mockery of the word and definition of ‘delete’, will be coming with the pre-Warlords of Draenor content patch in the pipeline. ”Undeleting a character restores all of its enchantments, gems, and items fully intact. You’ll be able to get back into action right away, and your character won’t remember being deleted’”we won’t tell, either.”
Here is the small print for undeleting your character:
â–ª Characters under level 10 and Death Knights at level 55 are not eligible to be undeleted.
â–ª Characters between level 10 and level 29 will no longer be recoverable after 90 days.
â–ª Characters between level 30 and 49 will no longer be recoverable after 120 days.
â–ª All other characters level 50 and above are eligible to be undeleted at any time.
Also, this new feature can only be used once every 30 days. Blizzard add that the deleted character’s name is kept reserved for a limited number of days as well, so if you name a new character after the deleted one, and then wish to restore them, your new guy/gall will have to change their name before the undeletion can complete.
