In Shelter you were a badger guiding your young cubs through the dangerous wilds, keeping them fed while also trying to stop them getting carried off by hungry eagles.
In Shelter 2 you’re a lynx, but if this short gameplay teaser from Might and Delight’s survival adventure is anything to go by, life in the wilderness hasn’t got any easier.
This is the first in-game footage we’ve seen from Shelter 2, which was originally planned for release this August until the developers decided to delay it a short while in order to fix recurring issues with pathfinding and optimisation. As you can see, hunting and providing for your family of lynx cubs will be a major theme this time around.
Shelter 2 retains the beautiful, watercolour art style of the first game, and looks like it will be just as emotionally rewarding and devastating as its predecessor. Anyone who cries at nature documentaries when a gazelle gets eaten need not apply. Nature, man. It’s cruel.
