In the world of action RPG Lords of the Fallen, our protagonist Harkyn is The Most Dangerous Man Alive, a convicted sinner, murderer and ”stain on humanity” who happens to be the only one who can turn back the tide of demons rampaging across the land.
Developer CI Games has released a new trailer that outlines the game’s high fantasy backstory, and also shows off some of its gloomy, foreboding environments.
“There is no single end to your journey,” reads an ominous voiceover. ”This is not a war which only one side wins. Witness both worlds, Harkyn; travel across dimensions, seek out the sinister, the far more sinister than you. Uncover the hidden secrets, and then the world’s fate, a fate that you decide.”
So it sounds like we’ll be heading into hell, or whatever demonic dimension takes its place in Lords of the Fallen’s theology. There we’ll fight the evil Rhogar, specifically the nine Rhogar Lords controlling the demonic army on behalf of their master. Who is an actual god. That’ll go well.
