Paradox has released Art of War, the latest DLC pack for Europa Universalis IV. According to the developer the content pack “could be the largest expansion DLC in Paradox history.” Which is bloody exciting.
As always, Paradox are doing their level best to confuse me by also adding a free 1.8 update alongside the expansion, which adds some additional improvements and fixes.
As always it would take three or four pages to list all the new features that Art of War adds to the increasingly complex grand strategy game, but standouts include; a reworked Reformation structure that should encourage more religious conflict; hundreds of new historical provinces and nations, a new revolt system and better fleet management.
Art of War is available for $19.99, and you can get hold of it now from Steam or the game’s website.
Here’s the full list of content:
-
Revamped Papal election and curia system
-
Religious leagues in totally redone Reformation structure, to encourage religious conflict
-
Hundreds of new provinces and dozens of new nations throughout game history
-
New revolt system that traces general unrest
-
Greater flexibility in managing and sharing fleets
-
The creation of client states as a new form of subject ally
-
Army construction template for easy rebuilding of destroyed forces
