Stardock has announced that its fantasy turn-based strategy game Sorcerer King will leave Early Access and launch fully on 16th July via Steam for PC.
Sorcerer King is a little bit different from other traditional 4X games from StarDock, as rather than taking on various factions for supremacy, you’re trying to stop the titular Sorcerer King, a powerful and nefarious villain, from destroying the world and ascending to godhood. In order to stop the Sorcerer King you must build a kingdom and raise a powerful army while dealing with rival factions who only care about conquering more land and resources. You must hurry though, as a Doomsday Counter keeps track of the Sorcerer King’s progress toward godhood.
There’s a total of six powerful sovereigns in the game, which you can take command of, including; the Wizard, the Commander, the Tyrant, the Guardian, the Priest, or the Tinkerer. To keep the game fresh Stardock have also included a random map generator, so the world will be different each time you play.
Sorcerer King will launch on the 16th July priced at $39.99 / £34.99 on [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/241990/]Steam/url]. We’re told that review code will be available soon, so we should have our thoughts up on the final release before or on the 16th July.
