The Underdark expansion for Neverwinter that was announced a few weeks ago has just received a release date, 17 November 2015. The expansion is being penned by longtime Dungeons & Dragons scribe R.A. Salvatore, and stars his famous creation, Drizzt Do’Urden.
The expansion features the storyline “Rage Of Demons”, in which ten players can band together to fight Demogorgon, the two-headed Demon Lord. Players will be joined by the aforementioned Drizzt as well as noted licensed character Regis and Bruenor Battlehammer. The Strongholds location will also include a new plot and an unlocked PvP tower. The Demonic Heroic Encounters will also offer replayable events that scale to the amount of players involved.
A new video interview was released with R.A. Salvatore alongside Cryptic’s executive producer Rob Overmeyer, discussing the former’s writing for the next Underdark expansion.
