Once again, a ratings board has spoiled the surprise, as a PC version of the critically acclaimed Shadow Complex has appeared as “Shadow Complex Remastered”.
According to the PEGI listing, it’s being published by Epic Games International; the original was published by Microsoft and released on Xbox 360 back in 2009. It had a re-release of sorts on Xbox One when it was introduced as one of the backwards compatible titles back in mid-November.
Shadow Complex was developed by CHAIR Entertainment and written by noted author Peter David, and is considered one of the best “Metroidvania” style games ever released. A sequel was teased back in 2011, but nothing has ever come of it.
Even though the 2nd December, 2015 release date is probably a placeholder, ratings are often done a few weeks before actual release. Stay tuned, as an official announcement may be coming soon.
