MMO WildStar will go free-to-play on September 29, developer Carbine Studios has announced. The model change will come in a new update called WildStar: Reloaded, which also makes some major changes to the game’s core systems.
”WildStar: Reloaded includes BIG changes to core game systems; a new character creation and intro experience; improvements to dungeons, itemization, tradeskills, world bosses and group content; a class stat revamp; new quality of life features, bonus events, the Cosmic Rewards program, and so much more,” promises Carbine.
Anyone who wants to keep their monthly sub will access the WildStar ‘Signature Service’, and will receive new bonuses and rewards. There’s also a new in-game store which sells the usual variety of cosmetic items, XP boosts and so on. If you’ve been a paying customer for a while, you might want to check out the Cosmic Rewards programme, which offers bonuses depending on how much cash players have spent on the game.
You can sign up now for a chance to test out the F2P Beta before it goes live.
