Wargaming has announced that its multiplayer ship combat game World of Warships will officially launch on September 17. So that’s earth, air and sea locked up. World of Spaceships next?
World of Warships will launch with four classes of naval vessel, a full complement of historical ships, and plenty of tools for conducting strategic warfare on the high seas.
“Based on our Open Beta success with World of Warships, Wargaming is poised to launch our next big game,” says Wargaming’s head of publishing Fred Menou. “With 2 million participants and the average player spending 3 hours a day in game we have an armada of sea captains ready to take the helm of the ultimate naval combat game.”
Full Japanese and US tech trees will be ready at launch, along with several vessels from the U.K, Germany, and the U.S.S.R. There are around 80 ships in the game so far, with more to be added in due course.
You can still jump in to the ongoing Beta by heading over to the game’s official website and downloading the F2P client.
