Koei Tecmo Europe has announced that the Japanese grand strategy game Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence will be free on Steam this upcoming weekend, from 6pm GMT on Thursday, November 5 through to 9pm GMT on Sunday, November 8.
For the uninitiated, Nobunaga’s Ambition is a long-running franchise that puts the player in the role of a Japanese feudal lord during the Sengoku era of Japan; players can be a fictional or non-fictional lord from the era. The game was one of the first titles to not only deal with territory capture and influence, but also political intrigue in which victories can be won off the battlefield as much as on.
During the Steam free weekend, players can purchase the game at a €10 discount, as well as the downloadable content for €1.99 (usually €2.99) as well.
