So, gamers who had been collecting data packets in Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear 5: The Phantom Pain have finally unlocked what the data is for: a 1980’s murder mystery game The Portopia Serial Murder Case in its entirety.
Unfortunately for non-native speakers, the game included is completely in Japanese, even though the original game was released in English as well.
According to Hideo Kojima in prior interviews, The Portopia Serial Murder Case was the game that got him into game software development. It was also an ancestor of the popular Ace Attorney games.
It’s a nice little Easter Egg to include in the game, though some might pout that he could have at least included an English version for those who don’t understand Japanese.
