You might be forgiven for thinking that the Trials series could not possibly get more ridiculous, after Trials Fusion’s bizarre trips underwater, and weird penchant for squirrels.
You would, of course, be wrong. The game’s next piece of DLC, titled Awesome Level MAX, was revealed at E3 last month, and features a cat riding a unicorn in lieu of your traditional stunt biker.
No, I have no idea either. Thankfully, developer RedLynx has provided us with all the evidence we need in the form of the expansion’s first gameplay trailer. When you’re not guiding a heroic feline through a fantasy assault course, you can test your stunt-riding skills on various new tacks, from robot factories to volcanic wastelands. It’s all very odd.
The Awesome Level MAX DLC is coming this July 14 to PC and consoles, and is the first expansion not contained within the game’s regular Season Pass. Publisher Ubisoft is also releasing The Awesome Max Edition, which will include the base game and everything that’s been released for it so far, including every DLC expansion and the Awesome Level MAX pack itself.
We don’t have a confirmation of price just yet, but expect that to be revealed soon.
