Just like any sport, the gruesome Blood Bowl league has its superstar players. They’re just slightly more likely to batter you into tiny little pieces than Lionel Messi or Roger Federer.
This new trailer from Blood Bowl 2 developer Cyanide Studios details some of the talents that the most skilled athletes from the various fantasy races in the game bring to the field.
Star Players are statistically better than their teammates, but they also offer unique abilities; some can hypnotize their foes, others shoot the ball with a cannon or pick up smaller teammates and hurl them to the touchline.
”Matching their skillset,” writes Cyanide, ”their hiring fee is also exceptionally high, and they will only ever join your team for a single match. However, if you can spare the Gold to afford hiring one (or even two!) of them, they will be worth the hiring cost, as they might very well turn the tide of the match, all by themselves.”
Blood Bowl 2 is out this September 22.
