Hey, let’s all forget about how much of a disappointment Assassin’s Creed Unity was, and hope that Assassin’s Creed Victory (as we assume it’s called, the name’s not been confirmed yet) gets the series back on track. Much like Black Flag did after the rubbish Assassin’s Creed 3.
Ubisoft will officially reveal the Victorian era action adventure next Tuesday May 12, at 9am PT/5pm GMT. We already basically know what it’s all about thanks to a Kotaku reveal last year, of course, but we might get to hear a bit more about it.
The Assassin’s Creed website features the crossed arms of an assassin, trademark wrist-blade on one arm, fancy cane in the other. I’m looking forward to a bit of fashion in my killing, so that’s exciting. The Kotaku scoop revealed the game is set in London, and features top hats (yes!) and a new grappling hook item for fast getaways.
So next week we’ll see what Ubisoft has in store. Can the studio claw back some goodwill from fans that felt let down by Unity? It’s got a big task on its hands.
