A bumper crop of screenshots for two forthcoming 40K video games has surfaced today; one batch showcases the galactic playgrounds of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the other the cramped hallways and vaulted cathedrals of Space Hulk: Deathwing.
Both are looking quite nice. This is the first time we’ve seen the warships of Gothic’s Chaos faction, which, much like their Chaos Space Marine foot-soldiers, tend to look a bit heavy metal. Those mass naval battles, with huge explosions and banks of cannon turrets, are definitely looking promising.
As for Deathwing, it continues to look like an atmospheric adaptation of the classic board game. There’s some UI work shown here for the first time, and more importantly a huge Gothic space-cathedral that marks a nice change from the cramped industrial corridors and loading bays we’ve seen rather too much of at this point.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and Space Hulk: Deathwing are being developed by Tindalos Interactive and Streum On Studios respectively, and neither has a set release date set at this point.
