This week’s free DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adds a whole new set of Gwent cards for use in the addictive (or tedious, depending on your point of view) game-within-a-game.
CD Projekt hasn’t detailed this new set just yet, but it’s called Ballad Heroes, and is described as a ‘Neutral’ set. That suggests to me that you can filter these cards in through whichever factional set you tend to favour.
There’s also a new quest called ‘Fool’s Gold’, which at some point will figure a concrete pig. Expect to hear more about exactly what to expect from these two new chunks of content soon. That makes 8 free pieces of post-launch content so far, so we’re halfway through the 16 CDPR has promised.
It’s partly thanks to this generous attitude towards consumers that The Witcher 3 has seen such impressive success – the game’s sold over 4 million copies since it launched last month.
