It’s been awhile since we heard anything about the mini-series of Telltale Walking Dead episodes that were to feature the samurai sword-slinging survivalist of comics and television fame, Michonne. Well, according to a few tweets from Job Stauffer, Head of Creative Communications at Telltale Games, it may be coming out very shortly.

It was back in June that the mini-series spin off to the applauded Telltale adventure games surfaced. There’s still no official word on release date yet, but from the looks of things, it sounds like they’re wrapping up at least the first episode. Considering Michonne’s presence in the comics and TV show, not to mention Telltale’s handling of the series thus far, cold brutality and more than a little bit of angst is to be expected, though a further tweet mentioned that this is not Season 3.
.@kennethgomad02 @garfep there will be no news on @TheWalkingDead S3 until, at earliest, after the new Michonne Mini-Series concludes.

It would seem that there’s a lot of The Walking Dead to look forward to at the end of 2015 and going well into 2016. We’ve certainly enjoyed the games so far. The real question we’re left with now is where we’re going to fit some tough zombie survival choices in between the mountain of games already slated this holiday.
