Iron Tower Studio’s old school, isometric RPG The Age of Decadence has received its final Early Access update, concluding an impressively lengthy ten year development cycle and getting the game in shape for its October launch.
Said update adds the game’s final area, 13 different endings depending on what you got up to during the story, and improves the combat AI.
”First and foremost,” writes the team, ”as of this moment the game is feature- and story-complete and is fully playable from start to finish, i.e. from 8 vignettes to 13 endings. What started more than 10 years ago as a dream has finally became a distinctive role-playing game, which will be released on Steam, GoG, and Gamers Gate on October 14, 2015.
The Age of Decadence is set in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by the fall of the Roman Empire, rather than your usual Tolkeinesque orc-murdering. There’s a focus on scheming, murdering and general backstabbing - figuratively and literally - rather than heroic adventuring.
If you fancy trying the game out, you can download a free demo on Steam.
