I would imagine that Get Even, the strange FPS from Farm 51 that’s inspired by psychological thrillers, has probably slipped off your radar in the last year or so.
With good reason; the game was first announced back in January 2014, and we’ve heard very little about it since then. Until now, when we find out it’s been pushed back to 2016.
Publisher Bandai Namco’s plot description actually sounds pretty interesting, though it manages to tell us pretty much nothing about the actual game. It reads as follows:
“Get Even is the psychological thriller movie genre made video game, blurring lines and blending the frantic tension of the FPS genre with the oppressive intimacy of a complex personal investigation. Eschewing the usual clichés and gung-ho scenarios currently inhabiting the FPS genre, Get Even packs an alternative, mature and intriguing story combined with strong shooter elements.”
You can find out more on the game’s official website, though the real juice is in the making-of footage above. Even there the developers seem fairly reluctant to tell us what’s actually going on. Anyway, expect to see more of Get Even in early 2016.
