Indie developer The Colony has released the first developer diary for their upcoming first person ant simulator called The Colony. The video shows off some alpha gameplay, boasting beautiful scenery from the perspective of a flying drone.
The game won’t just be an ant FPS, however. The developers promise that the goal of the game is to rebuild your colony by contacting other ants, finding resources and creating pheromone trails for workers to follow. Players will be building their colony by digging into the earth, creating traps and other structures, and fending off enemies such as spiders and other ants.
If that weren’t enough, the game will also include a multiplayer mode for up to 100 other people as they build their own colonies, form alliances and wage war.
