Brian Fargo and his studio inXile Entertainment are likely breaking open the beer caskets right now as The Bard’s Tale IV on KIckstarter has secured its $1.25 million goal and it still has 25 days left.
Over 28k backers threw their money at the screen and inXile thank the ”invaluable” love the project has received over social media. ”The Bard is back!” proclaimed Brian ‘RPG renaissance’ Fargo.
”Nearly 30,000 of you have put your belief in us once more, and we are forever grateful. You’ve heard me wax poetic on the subject of crowdfunding enough, but truly we would not be able to make these games without your support every step of the way,” he said in an update.
”Your social media love you have given over the course of the campaign has been invaluable, and your continued support will let us make The Bard’s Tale IV bigger and better than ever.”
Next up are the stretch goals and the first is at $1.3 million for an ‘enhanced companion system’ and two additional CNPCs, and at $1.35 million they’ll deliver an ‘enhanced crafting system’.
