Tindalos Interactive recently set a release date for its sci-fi RTS Etherium, and now they’ve opened up the game’s multiplayer beta to anyone who pre-orders a copy.
The beta gives players access to the full roster of multiplayer content, as well as some singleplayer tutorials to help you get into the swing of managing your futuristic armies.
Etherium features three playable factions, each scrapping to secure as much of the titular resource as they can. The human Consortium is a massive corporate entity that favours stealth units, the Intari are an order of warrior prophets who want the stuff because it lets them see into the future via a special ritual, and the Vectides are a swarm of robot-like beings that are actually powered by Etherium.
The game features classic RTS combat, with a few interesting quirks. You’ll have to watch out for both dynamic planetary weather conditions such as sandstorms and volcanic eruptions, as well as groups of sub-factions that you can either destroy and loot, or sway to your side.
Anyone who pre-orders Etherium will also net themselves a 10% discount. The game will release on PC this March 25.
