As promised a month ago, Hi-Rez Studios has launched the closed beta for their first person team-based online shooter Paladins, a followup to their free-to-play MOBA shooter SMITE.
The first phase of the beta will be limited in terms of gameplay time. Players will only be able to access the Paladin servers from 17:00 to 05:00 GMT / 18:00 to 06:00 CET. Eventually, beta testing will have 24-hour sessions available. Players will be allowed to stream and video capture their games from the start.
There are two ways to enter the closed beta. Players can either sign up for a chance to earn a free invite at the official site, or purchase a Founder’s Pack, which includes an exclusive Fiery Warhorse mount and 20 card chests. The pack costs €19.99.
Paladins will be a free-to-play first person fantasy shooter, and will be released sometime in 2016.
