Charlie Oscar has announced that it will release digital strategy board game Gremlins, Inc. as a ”feature-complete Beta” in late September. To mark the announcement, the Lithuanian studio has unveiled a new trailer.
Gremlins, Inc. is a turn-based virtual board game set in a colourful steampunk world, and has the player compete for prestige, cash and resources with a cast of cigar-chomping, monocle-wearing capitalist gremlins. You can steal form your rivals, rig elections, set up bribes and traps, and generally act like.. you know, a real banker.
“We have been developing this project for over two years and currently we have fully implemented the core gameplay mechanics of the game. All of the important features are in there with nothing missing”, says producer Sergei Klimov. “In terms of the user interface, as well as extra features such as special character abilities and crafting, we have reached the point where we need player feedback and solid statistics in order to prioritise certain things over others.”
Hence the Beta status. Charlie Oscar says it has a number of new features in mind, which will be tested and added before the game is fully release in early 2016. You can find out more on the game’s official website.
