Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines was a great game, but it’s fair to say that it wasn’t exactly the most polished and complete product ever released.
Luckily there’s an army of talented modders out there ready to pick up the slack. The recently released Bloodlines Antitribu, for example, is a huge, free expansion that adds seven new vampire clans and much, much more.
Each of those new clans comes with new models and traits, and a signature Discipline that offers special abilities as varied as summoning zombies and turning into a giant cobra (yes!). The combat system’s also been upgraded, with the ability to kick and block attacks with your shield.
That is just the tip of the iceberg. You can find out more about the other additions – new items, improved difficulty and enemy AI, 11 new disciplines about a million other things – over on the mod’s website.
Bloodlines Antitribu is already available, and it’s about to get a new patch on February 21 that will fix various bugs and issues. Like Bloodlines itself the mod has a few issues and rough edges right now, but there’s still a hell of a lot of hard work and creativity on display. Well worth a look.
