Turn-based strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon has received its first expansion today, the Salamanders-themed Vulkan’s Wrath.
The expansion adds a ten mission campaign starring the ‘good guy’ (well, this is 40K, so everything’s relative) Space Marine chapter with a fondness for fire.
”This campaign features 10 all new missions organized into three Acts that follow the exploits and heroic deeds of the Salamanders during the 2nd War for Armageddon,” Publisher Slitherine writes. ”Burn the Orks from the face of Armageddon while saving its people from a fate worse than death as you engage the savage and bloodthirsty Ork Waaagh!”
Slitherine says players can of the same kind of content in the future; plans for Ultramarines and Blood Angels mission packs are already in motion, and more new DLC should be released later this year. I wasn’t all that keen on Armageddon, finding it a bit brown and depressing for my tastes, but if you’re a fan it looks like you’ve got a lot more to look forward to.
You can grab Vulkan’s Wrath for £3.99 on Steam.
