The premier soccer management sim, Football Manager 2016, is the source of some arguments between fans of the game and the developer Sports Interactive, as the former are upset with the sheer number of injuries in the game, while the latter states that there are fewer injuries in the game than real life.
Fans in the Football Manager 2016 Steam review page complained about the developer never dealing with the “injury problem” of the game. Some complained players they just signed would immediately hit the disabled list, and sometimes a player would get two injuries at the same time. One even called it “Injury Simulator 2015”.
Manager Miles Jacobson posted on Twitter:
Think there are too many injuries in #FM16? It has roughly 70% of those IRL - https://t.co/uxK7IUEYWO & https://t.co/emUPIoeyxI can educate.

A few gamers have responded that while there are less injuries in the game, the number of severe injuries in the simulation are out of touch with reality.
Some games like Out of the Park Baseball 2016 allow players to reduce the injury likelihood with a settings slider. It seems that Football Manager 2016 offers no such feature.
