Publisher Daedalic Entertainment has announced that developer Mandragora’s “zombies in a skyscaper” rogue-like Skyhill, will be adding an interactive live-streaming feature on 28 November 2015. The feature is being beta-tested from the 20th through the 27th by anyone interested in helping out with the testing.
The Livestream will be a “one button push” for players to directly connect to Twitch through the in-game menu. However, the mode goes beyond just broadcasting the game. The Livestreaming will enable game control for viewers to influence the game and get in on the fun with the streamer.
The way it works is that players will be prompted to enter numbers in the Twitch channel to increase the player’s damage capability or help them receive an item, as seen in the tutorial info-graphic below.
Skyhill was released back on 6 October 2015 and earned a 6.5/10 score in GameWatcher’s review, which praised the concept and tenseness of the game, but called the combat ”unsatisfying”.
