The genre-busting Renowned Explorers: International Society was a pleasant surprise, mixing roleplaying with exploration, strategy and adventure gaming, as players took on the role of a group of explorers who delved into Egyptian tombs or searched for Shangri-La. Now, developer Abbey Games has announced that the title will be getting a free content update every two weeks starting today until the end of the year.
Today’s content update includes a downloadable content pack called The Mali Mystery that features new locations, NPCs, stories and treasures. It also features new Friends Leaderboards, which will allow players to compare and keep track of their exploration runs.
Renowned Explorers: International Society was released back on 2nd September, 2015 and earned a 8.5/10 score from GameWatcher’s review, earning a place in our list of the Best PC Games for 2015.
Update: Abbey Games wishes to stress that while content updates will be released every two weeks, the Mali DLC is the sole major DLC pack that will be released in that time.
