Codemasters has teased a next entry in the Dirt series a few times now, but the strongest proof yet that Dirt 4 is on the way comes from a 3D profile setting hidden in Nvidia graphics drivers.
DSO spotted the setting, which rates the game as having ‘excellent’ compatibility with Nvidia’s 3D Vision set. That presumably means the game’s already been tested by the graphics company, which suggests that a full announcement can’t be that far away.
To add fuel to the fire, AMD also released a Crossfire profile for the game earlier this week, in its new Catalyst 15.4 drivers. Both of these are new additions and not placeholders added a long time ago, so the evidence is stacking up that Codemasters are going to start talking Dirt 4 pretty soon.
Either that or they’ve developed a taste for elaborate ruses. We’ll have more as soon as we hear anything concrete.
