Capcom revealed that Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition was on the way to next-gen consoles in December last year, but they were pretty coy on the details.
Some fresh information has now surfaced courtesy of Japanese gaming blog Esuteru (thanks, NeoGAF), suggesting that a PC version is on the way this June, and revealing three new playable characters.
Joining classic Dante (the ridiculous white-haired quip expert from the original series, rather than his male model relative) are Vergil, Trish and Lady. The new characters will be playable on any level from the original game, and presumably pack their own unique skills. Lady, for example, has opted for a rocket launcher with a big knife strapped to the front. Sensible.
‘Legendary Knight’ mode will return from the PC version of Devil May Cry 4, and there apparently might be some pre-order costumes for Lady and Trish.
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is reportedly set for a June 24 release, but at this point it’s not clear whether that’s a worldwide date, or one specific to Japan. We’ll keep an eye out for any further details.
