Developer Thomas Kole has released an excellent mashup of ultraviolent action game Hotline Miami and Valve’s Half-Life 2, and it’s available to download for free on his website.
It features eight levels and a thoroughly enjoyable take on [n]Half-Life 2[/n]’s iconic gravity gun, and you can check out the game in action in the trailer below.
“I made this game as a declaration of my love for these 2 games, and as an experiment in game design,” says Kole.
The levels cover all the main regions from Valve’s shooter, and Kole’s included a level editor so that you can come up with your own maps. There’s even – in true Hotline style – a killer soundtrack, from SUNG.
For the very reasonable price of free, it’s well worth a pop. Go check it out.
